Questions people ask
Does cropping reduce the quality of the image?
What is left inside your selection is untouched. Save as PNG if you plan to keep editing the image; JPG and WebP lose a little each time they are saved.
What are the ratio presets for?
1:1 is the square used by most profile pictures. 16:9 matches video and most screens. 4:5 is the tall format Instagram prefers for feed posts. 4:3 matches older cameras and many print sizes.
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
Type the width and height you want into the boxes under the preview and the selection will snap to them. If you need a specific output size rather than a specific selection size, crop first and then run the result through the resizer.
